Man hospitalised after late night street attack
A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital after would-be thieves set upon him in Hamilton.
The Sandys Parish resident was walking on Burnaby Street around 1.20 a.m. on Wednesday when he was confronted by two strangers on an auxiliary cycle demanding cash.
A struggle ensued during which the victim sustained an injury to his left arm. He later complained of chest pain.
He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was on a general ward.
Said a Police spokesperson: "The suspects are described as two black men dressed in dark-coloured clothing; one approximately 5ft 8in tall of slim build and the other approximately 6ft tall of stocky build. Inquiries into this incident are underway."
