continues to shame his senior rivals.

Twelve-year-old Aaron James produced an astonishing display in the first week of play in the Amstel League, carding a three-over-par 73 at Belmont to take third place in the A Division.

And the Bermuda Junior Golf Association member showed that was no flash in the pan as he topped the entire field on the same course on Saturday with a four-over 74.

James beat the likes of Peter Tucker, who shot 75, and Brendan (Bees) Ingham (76).

Another BJGA player, 17-year-old Andrew Trott, also fired 72 the first week and followed with 76 on Saturday.

However, the Mid Ocean Club quartet of Tucker, Ingham, Barrett Lightbourn (77) and Ian McLean (77) carried their team into first place.

Saturday saw the start of the B Division where Juliana Jack took the honours with a 75 -- although the BGA Men's team of David Hunter (77), Hugh Horsford (78) and Brian Haxton (79) posted the low team score.

This Saturday sees the Amstel League and BGA medal competition both incorporated in the four-day Bermuda Amateur Strokeplay Championships, which begin Friday at Port Royal.
