Cricket star Minors still being investigated by Police
International Airport in connection with alleged drugs offences, Police have said the incident is "still under investigation''.
The 31 year-old St. George's teacher was arrested on New Year's Day and subsequently released on Police bail.
Minors is Bermuda's national cricket team wicket keeper and has enjoyed a clean-cut image both on and off the field.
His arrest after arriving on a charter flight from Orlando, Florida caused widespread shock throughout the community.
Minors is employed as a physical education teacher at CedarBridge Academy, and was suspended on full pay following his arrest.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Education said yesterday that Mr. Minors was still suspended from his teaching post.
In early January, a spokesperson from the Ministry of Education said: "The normal procedure is that if someone is arrested, they are suspended on full pay.
"If they are charged and then found guilty, they will be dismissed. If they are found not guilty or acquitted, they will be reinstated.'' Executives from some of Bermuda's leading companies, including Henry Smith, CEO of Bank of Bermuda, and Carol Bassett, assistant vice president of Bank of Butterfield, will gather at the Fairmont Southampton Princess.
Their objective is not to instil good manners among their fellow Bermudians, but to discuss whether standards of behaviour are deteriorating, what problems this causes for Bermuda, and how trends can be reversed.
The four particular areas being studied are sports, business, the media and politics.
Also discussed will be codes of conduct.
The roundtable discussion will begin at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.in the Mid-Ocean Amphitheatre and everyone is welcome.
TAXI DRIVER LOSES OUT ON FARE CRM Taxi driver loses out on fare Police are investigating a report of a theft from a taxi driver on Monday night.
The taxi driver said he picked up the suspect and an associate on Church Street in the City of Hamilton shortly after 9 p.m. on Monday.
He then drove one of the passengers to a Devonshire residence before continuing the journey with the second.
At St. Augustine's Hill, Pembroke, the driver handed over an amount of cash to the culprit, who indicated that he would return in order to make change for the fare -- but never returned.
RESIDENT THWARTS ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN CRM Resident thwarts attempted break-in Two teens have been arrested after allegedly trying to break into a Pembroke home in broad daylight.
The resident heard noises outside two windows at her Shaw Wood Road home at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. She called Police and went outside to challenge two youths.
Although the pair ran off, two 16-year-old Pembroke youths were later arrested in connection with the incident and taken to Hamilton Police station for further inquiries.

The complainant said she left the car unlocked for less than a minute while she attended to business inside a store. When she returned her bag had been removed from the floor of the car.
The purse contained cash, bank cards and other personal items.
