Ace adds two to professional lines team
Ace Bermuda has announced two new appointments to its professional lines team.
Jeffrey Jabon has been named senior vice-president and Philippe Bacon has senior vice-president, senior underwriter of the company's professional lines department
In his new role, Mr. Jabon will take on management of the department and will be responsible for the development of Ace Bermuda's professional liability book of business. He will report to Rees Fletcher, president and CEO of Ace Bermuda.
Mr. Bacon, who will report to Mr. Jabon and is a long-serving member of Ace Bermuda's professional liability team, will serve as a senior technical resource and will assist with the management of the professional lines business.
Mr. Fletcher said: "I am delighted to announce these appointments and to encourage Jeffrey and Philippe in their new roles. Jeffrey's leadership capabilities and underwriting experience along with his knowledge of the Bermuda market and international insurance industry position him well to lead the professional lines team.
"Given Philippe's significant experience in professional lines at Ace Bermuda, I expect him to play a key role in helping to drive our business forward. I have every confidence in the ability of Jeffrey and Philippe to profitably grow our professional lines business."
Before joining Ace Bermuda, Mr. Jabon worked as a management consultant to the insurance industry in New York, Boston, and Bermuda. Prior to that he held senior underwriting and business analyst positions within American International Group in New York.
Mr. Bacon has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having joined Ace Bermuda in 1992 and since then, has been responsible for developing the department's book of business and underwriting a portfolio of Fortune 500 D&O and professional liability accounts. Before that he worked for Marsh Global Brokers (Bermuda) Ltd., where he served as a Directors & Officers and Errors & Omissions broker with responsibility for placing multinational risks.
