The move will give management a breathing space for renovations at the Warwick hotel.
It is believed the closure will run from December 1 until February 10.
Earlier this week it was revealed the sale of the property had already attracted a lot of interest.
Owner Mr. Brian Alkon denied falling revenues were behind the move.
"I'm just testing the waters to see if my property has the value that I think Bermudian property has.'' In June, the 87-room hotel was 91 percent occupied, followed by 67 percent in July.
As well as a 700-foot beach, the property has two restaurants, a pub, a beach bar and gift shop.
