Better to give than receive

Members of the St Paul AME Church Senior Choir recently raise funds to purchase an electric wheelchair for one of their loyal choir members.

The St. Philip AME Church Senior Choir held a Hawaiian themed ‘Luau’ this past summer to raise cash to purchase an electric wheelchair for loyal choir member, Edwin ‘Bishop’ Seaman.

They were able to raise enough funds from the event and presented him with the gift so he could move around with greater ease.

Rev. Betty L. Furbert-Woolridge, a pastor at St Philip AME, decided to dedicate and bless Mr Bishop, along with his new wheelchair, on Sunday, November 3, 2013 during the morning worship service.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support. To God be the Glory!,” a spokeswoman for the church said.
