Balancing the budget

July 15, 2013.Dear Sir,This is addressed to the OBA and the Sage Commission. With the high cost of the Civil Service why doesn’t the OBA impose a 20 percent cut in Civil Servants making over $100K a year and a 10 percent cut for all Civil Servants making $80K plus. This would go along way to balancing the budget and reducing debt also create a Bermuda International Lottery like Megabucks or Powerball in the USA. Government takes 15 percent right off the top and the money goes into a “Special Fund” solely to reduce debt. If managed correctly the debt will be paid off in no time.Remember Bermudians love to gamble, they go to Vegas, gamble on line and Sea Horses is always full.FOOD FOR THOUGHTSandy’s
