Can you place this house from the 1950s?
Do you know where this house is?Americans Jack and Fran Amon lived at this Warwick residence back in the 1950s.Their daughter, Cynthia Rowley, visited the Island recently, having long heard her parents talk fondly of it as a tropical paradise.Mr Amon worked here with the US Navy as a radio man on a navy aircraft. Both he and his wife have since died.Mrs Rowley is now asking the Bermuda public to help locate the house they once stayed in. Called New Have, it was located somewhere in Warwick East.“We came here because it is a great vacation spot and my parents lived here and spoke of Bermuda fondly,” said Mrs Rowley. “I have a sister buried at Cavalry Cemetery [in Devonshire].“We were able to find my sister's grave, but unable to locate the home, which for me is a way to connect with them.”Anyone with information about the house is asked to contact Mrs Rowley: 1-651-770-3028 or e-mail at crowley158@aol.com.
