Shares of Butterfield Bank improved by $1.40, or 7.7 per cent, to $19.50 after 100 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were down 20 cents, or 0.11 per cent, at $18.69.The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 62.96 points, or 4.19 per cent, to 1,565.81, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 29.26 points, or 2.11 per cent, at 1,357.01.
