A Sandys parish man has been charged with laundering more than $480,000.George Mouchette, 55, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court to two counts of converting, transferring or moving money representing the proceeds of drug trafficking or other criminal activity.The first count relates to $444,414; the second involves a further $37,704. Both offences allegedly occurred on a date unknown between June 1, 2006, and March 31, 2010.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Mr Mouchette on $15,000 bail with a like surety.The matter is scheduled to be mentioned again on April 15.
