Bermuda have qualifiers place in their sights

Bermuda face Cayman –Islands today knowing that a win will effectively seal their place at the World Twenty20 global qualifiers in Dubai next year.Victory in the fourth match of their ICC Americas Division One campaign would all but guarantee them a top three finish, and also keep their hopes of winning this week’s tournament alive. With Canada already qualified for next year’s trip to the Middle East, Bermuda only need to get the better of Cayman, having already beaten Argentina and Suriname. And after their heavy defeat at the hands of Canada on Wednesday, head coach David Moore is expecting them to bounce back with a much improved performance.“We put ourselves out of danger if we win tomorrow,” said Moore, “and as far as I’m concerned we need to bounce back from that poor performance against Canada.“I know that traditionally we do, so I’m expecting us to come out with all guns blazing and just playing the way I know we can play.”Today’s match begins at 2.30pm Bermuda time, with the Island then taking on USA tomorrow in their final game.
