A three-year-old boy has died after a swimming accident at Kindley Field this afternoon.

The Royal Gazette understands the child and a two-year-old boy both fell into difficulty while swimming at the popular family site.

Attempts were made to resuscitate the boys at the scene.

Both were rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance where the three-year-old died as a result of his injuries. The two-year-old is currently being monitored in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.
