Voting results

In the 2007 General Election, former Premier Alex Scott of the Progressive Labour Party beat Jeff Sousa of the United Bermuda Party by 518 votes to 367 to retain his Warwick South East seat.

Four years earlier, Mr. Scott won by 467 votes to 366 against Bob Richards of the UBP. Mr. Sousa later became UBP chairman, and Mr. Richards is now the MP for Devonshire East.

Constituency 24 is seen as a reasonably strong PLP area, with Census results of ten years ago showing about 80 percent of the population is black and 20 percent white.
