Butterfield Bank's common shares rose 7.14 percent (25 cents) to $3.75 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

Overall, the Index was up 43.68 points (2.16 percent) at 2,066.03, with 200 shares worth $750 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index dropped 9.52 points (one percent) to 937.43.
