BAS takes a dive
Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. took a dive, dropping 15.25 percent (90 cents) amid a flurry of activity on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.
The transportation company traded 9,600 shares to close at $5.
Other decliners included BF&M Ltd., which fell 25 cents (1.63 percent) to $15.05, with 600 shares changing hands.
The Ascendant Group Ltd. also declined five cents (0.33 percent) to $15, as 2,200 shares were transacted, while KeyTech Ltd. dipped five cents (0.58 percent) as well to close the day at $8.50, with 16,300 shares traded.
But, in contrast, Argus Group Holdings Ltd. rose 75 cents (8.82 percent) to $9.25, with 3,000 shares changing hands.
Butterfield Bank traded 20,500 common shares and 10 preference shares, but their share prices remained unchanged at $3.75 and $225 respectively.
The Index, as a whole, was up 14.4 points (0.7 percent) at 2,066.03, with 52,200 shares worth BD$336,295 and 10 shares worth US$12,304.44 transacted.
The BSX Insurance Index also increased 8.94 points (0.95 percent) to 944.43.
