All quiet on BSX

It proved to be a quiet day in the run-up to the festive season, with The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) opening and closing at 2,105.78 yesterday.
The Index traded 4,824 shares worth $36,156 during the day.
The only traders were Butterfield Bank, which saw 2,824 common shares change hands, and Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. transacted 2,000 shares, but both of their share prices held firm at $3.95 and $12.50 respectively.
The BSX Insurance Index, however, rose 8.75 points (0.92 percent) to 955.73.
