Butterfield Bank's common shares continued their fluctuations of activity in recent weeks, this time dropping five cents (one percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank's share closed the day at $5, with a total of 32,031 traded.

The Ascendant Group Ltd. also slipped by 50 cents (three percent) to $16, as 11,900 shares changed hands.

Overall the Index fell 17.87 points (0.78 percent) to 2,287.92, with 43,931 shares worth $350,556.55 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up 6.59 points (0.71 percent) at 929.84.
