Banking on BSX

Banking was the hardest hit sector on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. fell $1 (9.09 percent) to $10, with 300 shares changing hands.
Butterfield Bank also declined 15 cents (1.01 percent) to $14.70, as 4,178 shares were transacted.
But Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. climbed five cents (0.8 percent) to $6.25, with 3,000 shares traded.
The Index, as a whole, dropped 36.03 points (0.78 percent) to 4,555.9, as a total of 7,476 shares worth $83,254.70 were traded.
The BSX Insurance Index was, however, up 1.27 points at 963.48.
