Banking on BSX

The banking sector thrived as utilities suffered a downturn in fortunes on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
Butterfield Bank climbed 10 cents (0.66 percent) to close at $15.10, with 1,150 shares traded.
But Watlington Waterworks Ltd. fell 75 cents (5.35 percent) to $13.25, as 363 shares changed hands.
The Index as a whole was up 16.07 points (0.35 percent) at 4,600.34, with 2,323 shares worth $33,061.70 being transacted.
The BSX Insurance Index was up 0.28 points at 992.9.
