Chayce and Shianne Smith won numerous events at their respective indoor meets recently.

Shianne, a junior at California State University, competed in 11 events at the Margaret Bradley Invitational in Chicago, Illinois, winning nine of them.

Chayce, who attends school at St. Augustine College in North Carolina, along with jumper Joe Kindred, paced the Falcon men's team, while jumper Andrea Powell led the Lady Falcons to victory at the CIAA Conference.

Chayce was named men's track MVP for a second straight year and Kindred was selected men's field MVP for the third consecutive year, while Powell earned the women's field MVP.

Kindred was last year's Division II national men's outdoor field athlete of the year.

Smith placed second in the 800 metre run and one-mile run, and third in the 5,000m while Kindred won the high jump and finished second in the long jump and triple jump for the Falcons – the defending NCAA Division II national indoor champions.
