The World has come to Bermuda - at least the ship with that name has.

The 43,524 ton vessel is currently docked in Hamilton until tomorrow with its floating residential community. The World houses up to 300 residents and guests who live on board in their self-owned suites, circumnavigating the globe.

At present, there are 76 residents on board who arrived from the Azores at 12 p.m. yesterday.

The 644 ft long and 98 ft wide ship contains 165 luxury suites owned by residents from up to 40 countries.

She is due to depart at 3.30 p.m. tomorrow.

The container ship, The Oleander, arrived on Sunday with 124 dry containers and 48 refrigerated ones. She also carried two cars and 11 road trailers, departing at 2 p.m. on Monday.

The Oleander left the Island on Monday after delivering a cargo of 172 containers.

In addition, two more container ships are due to arrive in Bermuda tomorrow.

The Bermuda Islander arrives from Salem, New Jersey at 8.15 a.m. with 146 containers. She departs on Friday at 8.05 a.m.

The Somers Isles is due to arrive from Fernandina Beach, Florida, at 9 a.m. with 128 containers, including six reefers and a used car.
