SUV driver ploughs over embankment

In the early hours of Friday morning a 45-year-old Southampton man lost control of his SUV – hitting a roadside barrier before going over an embankment, said Police.

At 3.55 a.m. Police attended the scene of the accident on South Road, Paget, near the junction of St. Paul's Lane.

According to the report, the driver was not hurt in the crash, however his passenger, a 27-year-old Hamilton Parish woman received abrasions to her knees.

The SUV, as well the roadside barrier were extensively damaged in the crash.

Police inquiries into this incident are underway.

Laptop stolen in burglary

A black, Toshiba laptop was stolen from an Anchorage Road, St. George's home on Thursday.

Police say they received the report at 5.45 p.m. on Thursday and that the burglary occurred sometime between 8.10 a.m. and 4.25 p.m. that day while the home was unnocupied.
