Starting next month, the Government will be seeking public nominations for those to be celebrated on National Heroes' Day.

Those selected as a National Hero must match the following criteria:

• Made a significant and lasting contribution to Bermuda.

• Enriched the lives of others.

• His or her legacy will stand the test of time and have continued relevance in the future.

• Contributed to the quality of life and destiny of Bermuda.

• Be considered outstanding in their area of activity.

• Has name recognition among the general population.

• Is recognised by his or her profession or organisation.

• Is reflective of Bermuda's cultural heritage or diversity.
