Man shot in the leg in Pembroke
A 21-year-old man was shot in the leg on Pembroke Park Lane last night.
The young man, who has not been named, was near the junction of St. John's Road at 7 p.m. when he was shot.
The Royal Gazette understands he was taken to the hospital by a member of the public on a bike.
He is now being treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, though his condition is unknown.
Concerned neighbours heard the gun shots and called Police, who arrived on the scene within minutes.
No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting thus far.
The shooting is the second of 2010. Perry Puckerin was murdered on January 4 at the Hamilton Workingman's Club at 9.30 p.m.
It is the sixth shooting since December 5, 2009 in what is believed to be retaliatory attacks by gang members.
The shootings in the last five weeks have left four men dead.
