Premier Ewart Brown paid a visit to the West End Primary School in Somerset on Monday.

The visit came about after the Premier received letters from a class of P2 students outlining their ideas for attracting more tourists to Fort Scaur.

According to a press release, Dr. Brown spent 20 minutes with the class answering their questions and pledged to take some of their suggestions to Director of Tourism William Griffith.

He said: "I am encouraged when I see young people being guided to take an interest in their Country and being encouraged to openly and freely express their ideas. I felt it important that they know that I read their letters and while they may be students, we can still learn something from them. My congratulations to Ms. Dionne Bean the teacher of this class and to the parents of these fine young Bermudians."

The Premier gave each student a key ring from the Department of Tourism before being led on a short tour of the school by Principal Livingston Tuzo. Before concluding his visit, Dr. Brown had an opportunity to witness the West End Primary Choir rehearsing one of their songs in the school assembly hall.
