A burglar broke into a golf hut and a restaurant, but left empty-handed.

Police say the offender gained access to the hut, at the Bermuda Golf Academy and Driving Range, in Southampton, on Tuesday night. The neighbouring East Meets West restaurant was then broken into.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "It appears that the same culprit also gained entry into the nearby East Meets West restaurant; however, once again, nothing was taken.

"Inquiries into this incident are underway."

In a separate incident, an office at Port Royal Primary School was also broken into on Tuesday night. Nothing was stolen.
