Seniors offer advice on parenting
Created: Jan 12, 2010 10:00 AM
Seniors will be offering advice to young parents on how to raise respectful, churchgoing children this Saturday.
As part of a character building programme, the Bermuda Senior Islanders' Centre will set up a table at Victor Scott School in Pembroke from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and present people with informational handouts.
The event, which will take place during a community rally on Martin Luther King Jr Day, encourages young parents to come out and learn about raising respectful children and how to make sure they attend church and Sunday school.
Parents can also talk to seniors about family life, managing money, home ownership and what it means to be a good citizen of the Island.
