Belco climbs 7.7%

Belco Holdings Ltd. saw the week end on a high note as its shares rose in value by 7.69 percent yesterday.

The power company closed with a value of $21, an increase of $1.50 on the trading of 200 shares.

Argus Group Holding and Bank of N.T. Butterfield also traded through the day, but their value remained unchanged at close.

Belco's gains helped The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) to rise 27.58 points (0.55 percent) to close at 4,998.67.

Volume was 5,300 and turnover, $85,115.

The BSX Insurance Index closed at 1,103.21 yesterday, down 1.1 points (0.1 percent).
