BSX holds steady

It was a quiet day of trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday following the Labour Day holiday.
Butterfield Bank was the only domestic issuer to trade, with 5,540 shares changing hands, as the share price remained unchanged on $5.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 2,317.73.
Volume was 5,540 shares and turnover was $27,700.
The BSX Insurance Index, of the Island's leading international insurance companies, climbed 6.59 points, or 0.7 percent, to close on 929.84.
