BSX takes a rise
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) rose 6.71 points yesterday to close at 4,469.32 after 23,450 shares were traded.
Utilities stocks were active with KeyTech Ltd. shares rising 25 cents (two percent) to close at $12.75 after 6,400 shares changed hands and Belco Holdings Ltd. marking a 10-cent rise (0.48 percent) after 11,300 shares were traded. Belco closed at $20.60.
Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. fell 3.22 percent yesterday (20 cents) after 500 shares were traded, closing at $13.35, while Devonshire Industries Ltd. traded 4,100 shares yesterday to close up 25 cents (1.81 percent) at $14.
Butterfield Bank saw 1,150 shares traded but closed unchanged at $14.50.
Meanwhile the BSX Insurance Index fell 1.97 points to close at 985.65.
