Insurance stocks were active on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday with both Argus Group and BF&M Ltd. trading.

Argus shares jumped 11.53 percent ($1.50) with 667 changing hands while 400 shares of BF&M were traded although the share price remained unchanged at 19.45.

Bank of Butterfield also saw 5,657 shares traded but closed unchanged at $14.50.

On the day the BSX was up 56.80 (1.29 percent) to close at 4,446.66.

The Bermuda Insurance Index fell however, down 1.31 percent to close at 980.42.
