KeyTech rises 50 cents

KeyTech Ltd. was the only climber on The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday. The parent company of the Bermuda Telephone Company rose 50 cents (four percent) to close on $13, as 300 shares traded.
The BSX Index fell by 4.47 points (0.1 percent) to 4,389.86 on a day when Butterfield Bank was the most heavily traded share.
A total of 6,420 of the bank's shares changed hands, as Butterfield's stock price slipped 10 cents (0.1 percent) to close the day on $14.50.
The only other local company to trade was insurer BF&M Ltd., which remained unchanged on $19.45 after 200 shares were traded.
Overall, volume was 6,920 shares and turnover was $101,226 on the BSX.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 1.31 points to close on 980.42.
