Beneath: Temporary support structures brace the northeast section of Flatts Bridge after being installed in 2007. Work on repairing the bridge will see the traffic reduced to one lane for the next three months.
Flatts Bridge will be reduced to single-lane traffic for three months beginning tomorrow, as repairs are carried out.
The Ministry of Works and Engineering yesterday advised motorists to use alternate routes until Thursday, April 15.
"Traffic signals will be in place to control traffic flow," said a spokesperson. "The Ministry of Works and Engineering therefore suggests that motorists re-plan their route or commence their journeys earlier because of anticipated traffic flow delays.
"The Ministry of Works and Engineering wishes to thank members of the public for their cooperation during the period of the road closure."
