Security cameras will keep a watch on Bermuda Day Parade
CCTV cameras will be located at strategic positions along the May 24 parade route.
"The safety of the general public is of utmost importance and every possible measure will be taken to ensure that the public can have a safe and enjoyable Bermuda Day Holiday," a Government spokesman said.
The parade will follow its usual route starting at 1.30 p.m. on Monday.
Beginning at the junction of Bermudiana Road and Front Street, the parade will follow Front Street to Court Street where it will then turn left on to Court Street. From there it will turn on to Church Street, make a right turn on to Cedar Avenue, passing the Tennis Stadium to Marsh Folly Road. The parade will then make a right turn on to Dutton Avenue and into Bernard Park. Vendors will be set-up along the route.
For those who can't make it to the annual celebration it will be broadcast live on CITV beginning at 1.30 p.m. The parade will also be shown on Cablevision Channel 2 and WOW Channel 102. For Bermudians currently overseas the parade will be streamed live online at www.citv.gov.bm.
