BA flights to Island won't be impacted by strikes says manager

British Airways flights to Bermuda should not be impacted by the cabin crew's decision to strike again. Yesterday the BA union announced it will hold three further strikes beginning on May 18 which will see staff walk out for a total of 20 days.

However local BA representatives said the move should not impact the Bermuda route from Gatwick. British Airways' manager, Marianne Wilcox said "excellent support we have received" from Gatwick-based cabin crew means that flights from that airport will not be affected.

BA is expected to respond to the union's call for a strike today.
