Wilson reports on gathering of AGs in British Virgin Islands

Attorney General Kim Wilson recently met with attorneys general from other overseas territories to discuss crime and punishment.

Mrs. Wilson spoke at the conference about the strategies Bermuda has been using to fight the problem of gun violence and youth crime.

She said: "The conference was an invaluable tool to learn and share with our sister territories, many of whom are facing similar shifts in their administration of justice.

"The experience and information gained will be used to aid and enhance our justice system here in Bermuda."

The conference, held late last month in Tortola, British Virgin Islands, was also attended by representatives from the Cayman Islands, Montserrat, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the UK.
