Golfer Aaron out in front
a PGC Junior Series tournament at the Izatys Golf and Yacht Club in Minnesota on Monday.
James, competing in the 13-14 age group, shot a two-over-par 74 to lead 45 other players in his age group. In all age groups there are some 144 youngsters competing in the 54-hole tournament.
After Minnesota, James, accompanied by chaperone Frankie Furbert, will compete in the Jos A. Banks Jr All-Star Classic at Kissimmee Bay Country Club in Florida starting on July 6. That is a 36-hole event.
The third event James will compete in before returning home is the AJGA All-Star Classic at Kingwood Country Club in Texas, starting on July 13. That, too, is a 36-hole event.
"He's a talented youngster and all he needs is the opportunity,'' said Andre Dill, vice president of Ocean View where James is the club champion.
