Going the other way was the stock of Bermuda Press (Holdings), which dropped by 50 cents to $9 on a volume of 1,200.

Fourteen batches of 100 Belco seven percent notes, which is the minimum quantity they trade for, changed hands for an unchanged price of $117 per 100 notes. The total value of the transaction was worth $1,638.

Also unchanged in value was the stock of Bermuda Commercial Bank, which closed at $9 on a volume of 800.

The Exchange Index went up by 4.11 to close at a new high of 1,093.45.
