was yesterday sentenced to seven years in prison.

Keith Colon, 22, pleaded guilty in Supreme Court to importing and possessing 179.2 grams of cocaine.

Crown counsel Mr. Brian Calhoun told Puisne Judge the Hon. Mr. Justice Ward that on April 21 Colon arrived at the Airport.

"Concealed in his stomach were 64 pellets containing 179.2 grams of approximately 70 percent pure cocaine intended for local supply.

"If sold as 400 half-gram wraps at $125 each, this amount of cocaine would represent a street value of $50,000.'' Mr. Calhoun added that Colon also carried a deck of diamorphine for his personal use.

Mr. Archie Warner, representing Colon, said: "He was suffering from financial pressures at the time.

"A person, whom he says was Bermudian, offered him $500 and two tickets to Bermuda to bring the drugs here,'' Mr. Warner said.
