Supreme Court yesterday, upholding the man's appeal of a traffic conviction.
Anthony Tuzo of Cobbs Hill was fined in Magistrates' Court for not having a valid driving licence when he was stopped for speeding in April.
The 21-year-old told Sir James that he had gotten his driving permit renewed only two weeks before he was pulled over, and when he appeared in the lower court to argue the speeding charge, he was informed that he would also be charged with not having a valid licence.
A brief adjournment was called so Tuzo could drive home and retrieve the document for Sir James' examination.
The Chief Justice decided Tuzo had been unduly charged, and revoked his fine.
