The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute bid farewell to former board members David Saul, Adrian Hooper, Brendan Hollis and John Casling at its recent Annual General Meeting. It welcomed aboard at the same time new board members Scott Stallard, Cathy Lord, Nelda Simons, Rebecca Zuill and Starla Williams.

Meanwhile other changes see former trustees Wendy Tucker and Michael Collier take over the posts of director and chairman, respectively.

The news came yesterday from BUEI marketing director Jacqueline Horsfield who noted that the institute had worked very hard on governing its operation successfully.

Part and parcel of this, she continued, were the frequent rotations the board of trustees and posts of director and chairman underwent.

"This enables us to continue bringing in a new level of interest and dynamics and to recruit people with different abilities,'' she said Some of the recently departed board members had served since the BUEI was founded in 1992, she noted.
