The victim was one of two teenagers confronted by a man in the sand dunes between Horseshoe Bay and Chaplin Bay on Sunday afternoon.

She was allegedly attacked and sexually assaulted in broad daylight, while her friend ran for help.

The 33-year-old suspect is expected to appear in court later this week.
