leave Bermuda yesterday after a get-away-from-it-all holiday.

Keen yachtsman Mr. Alexander Allen and his wife Katie flew here last Sunday.

The couple are staying with a friend -- international businessman Mr. Norman Holbrow, who lives on Hinson Island in Paget.

Last night Mr. Holbrow, founder of Bermuda-based management company called Grosvenor Management, said he got to know the couple through his wife, Jinny.

"Jinny and Alex are both interested in sailing, and that is how they became friends.'' He said Mr. Allen had spent his time wind-surfing and sailing.

"He loves water sports and just wants to get away from it all. He leads an incredibly hectic life in Britain,'' he said. "It is the first time he has stayed with us, although he has been on the Island before.

"I hope he and his wife will come again to stay with us. I think it's exciting that they chose Bermuda for their holiday.

"It's so important the Island gets all the tourists it can.''
