But it was business as usual in five other age groups where champions at the recent Cromwell Manders tournament repeated.

In the girls 12, Ashley Brooks emerged as the winner, beating Zoe Fisher 7-6, 6-1 and in the boys 12, John Masters defeated Fraser Moore 10-1.

Repeat champions were in abundance as Amanda Burns took the girls 10 title over Caitlin Gordon 10-3 and Larsen Grimm again won the boys 10 division.

Ryan Swan won in three sets again, this time beating Gavin Manders 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 for the boys 14 title.

The girls 14 combined with the girls 18 with Tara Lambert repeating her recent win over Danielle Downey, this time 7-6, 6-1 while the boys 18 saw Craig Bean win again, this time over Jason Titterton, 6-1, 6-0.

The tournament was the second in four Grand Prix events before the Grand Prix masters in late June.
