A store room on Hillview Road was broken into early on Saturday and items worth about $900 were stolen, Police said. They included two speakers, a 18-karat gold wedding band, and a quantity of tools.

A house on Lusher Hill was broken into at about the same time, Police said.

About $150 in cash was stolen.

Four firefighters re-floated a sinking fishing boat at Ireland Island early on Sunday morning.

The 28-foot wooden craft, moored near Lefroy House, was reported sinking just after midnight. A possible cause was a failed bilge pump.
