training on the Island beginning tomorrow. The advanced driving course will involve two marked Police cars carrying four people, including a trained Police instructor.

Community Relations Officer Sgt. John Dale said: "These cars will be seen from time to time travelling at high speeds on most of our roads at various times during the day. All the officers in these cars are already trained Police drivers so they are no strangers when it comes to emergency situations response.

"When you hear a two-tone horn suddenly behind you please don't panic. Just pull over. I can assure you that the driver of the Police car has already seen you and has taken you into his driving plans. These courses are necessary as part of ongoing Police training and enhancement of skills.'' The course runs until a week on Friday.
