Alcoholics Anonymous get set for weekend convention
convention from Friday November 28 to Sunday November 30 at the Hamilton Princess Hotel.
There will be three speakers addressing AA and Al Anon Fellowship members over the weekend venue.
Speaking to AA members will be Bob B, of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Polly P, of Cypress, California. Speaking to Al Anon will be Lynda B of St. Paul, Minnesota.
Numerous visitors from the US and Canada will be flying into Bermuda to support the local membership.
AA is an organisation of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other so they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement is a desire to stop drinking.
There are no dues or fees for AA members, they are self supporting through their own contributions.

*** US citizens on Bermuda will celebrate Thanksgiving at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 27, at St. Theresa's Cathedral, Cedar Avenue, Hamilton.
All are invited to attend the service, at which the Governor Thorold Masefield, Premier Pamela Gordon, and outgoing US Consul General, Robert Farmer, will read selected texts.
Also scheduled on the programme will be the student winner of the Tom Pettit essay contest, reading his or her winning entry.
There will also be a number of uplifting and moving musical selections to be performed by some of the Island's most talented singers.
Guests are requested to be seated by 10.45 a.m.
