If you are robbed, the crook is unlikely to find all of your money; Never count money on the street; Try not to overburden yourself with too many heavy packages and bags; To avoid attracting attention to yourself, ladies should not wear expensive jewellry while shopping; Men should not walk around with their wallets in their back pockets; Do not leave purses in unattended shopping carts; Pick up the most expensive gifts last; When shopping, pay by credit card or cheque -- don't carry large amounts of cash; While out late-night shopping, avoid walking through dark alleys and lanes or shop with a friend; When walking or riding a cycle, carry your handbag over the shoulder on a long strap and tuck the bag under your arm. Bags without straps should be held close to the body and tucked under the arm or locked to a basket; Make sure you have your keys ready as you approach your car.
