her lead in the Coronation Cup standings in fitted dinghy racing in St.

George's Harbour on Sunday.

But with two protests pending, official results and standings were still not available yesterday.

In the first race, Elizabeth held onto an early lead to win with Contest finishing second.

But in the next two races, in which lead changed hands several times, Contest turned the tables to reel off two wins.

Weather conditions in the harbour forced skippers to toss crew members overboard and change up to their biggest rigs midway through the series.

Contest's crew, wearing black armbands, dedicated the day to the memory of Mrs. C.N.A. Butterfield, a long-time supporter of the fitted dinghy class who passed away last week.

Next race day is August 23 when two races will take place in either Granaway Deep of Hamilton Harbour depending on conditions. Racing is also scheduled for August 30 and September 13.
