SAILING SLG Alexandra Crane once again proved that she is the `queen' of the optimists as the youngster sailed to first place during racing in Hamilton Harbour over the weekend.
The budding female ace was in fine form throughout the seven race series, winning four to go with a second and third place finish. Such was her domination that Crane did not even bother taking the water for the seventh and final outing, instead using it as her drop score.
Her point total for the series of eight was two-and-a-half better than second place Alexander Lines, with Alexander Kirkland well back on 17 in the third position.
Anyone interested in competing is welcome to do so. There is no cost and three weekends remain for this year. For more information contact 295-7935 or 292-3366 ext. 210.
